The composer Ernö (Ernst von) Dohnányi was born in Bratislava on the 27th July 1877, the same year of the composers Aroca y Ortega, Aubert, Beach, Bortkiewicz, Brediceanu, Camussi, Castillo, Chesnokov, Cools, Cuvillier, Dunhill, Dupuis, Farwell, Gedike, Hess, Huré, Jelmoli, Krstic, Ladmirault, Marsick, Medins, Mojsisovics(-Mojsvár), Nowowiejski, Radoux-Rogier, Smith, Stojanovic. Died in New York on the 9th February 1960
