The composer Gerald Wilfred Cockshott was born in Bristol on the 14th November 1915, the same year of the composers Catunda, Cumbersworth, Ehrlich, Gallois-Montbrun, Hanus, Kilpatrick, Kondorossy, Kovách, Landowski, Lee, Legley, Nystedt, Pajaro, Persichetti, Quinet, Richter, Sagaev, Searle, Surinach, Toda, Vallerand, Van de Woestijne. He died in Londra on the third February 1979
