José Anselmo Clavé, who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Barcellona on the 21 April 1824, the same year of the composers Balart, Coenen, Cornelius, De Ferrari, Eichberg, Malipiero, Olander (Ölander), Perfall, Reinecke, Romani, Samuel, Smetana, Terziani. He died in Barcellona on the 24th February 1874
