The musician Osvald Chlubna, who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Brno on the 22nd June 1893, the same year of the composers Absil, Benjamin, Binet, Boulanger, Collins, Griffis, Guarino, Hába, Karastayanov, Langgard, Leça, MacMillan, Masetti, Merikanto, Messner, Mittler, Moore, Negrea, Palau Boix, Pergament, Petit, Pisk, Rein, Rogers, Seymour, Tikotsky. He died in Brno on the 30th October 1971
