The musician Raymond (Louis Marie) Charpentier, who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Chartres on the 14th August 1880, the same year of the composers Ascher, Bainton, Barilli, Bleyle, Bloch, Casimiri, Delcroix, Guarnieri, Inghelbrecht, Istel, Karel, La Rotella, Luna y Carné, Pahissa, Pizzetti, Pratella, Randegger, Rogatis, Stolz, Szirmai, Uribe Holguín. Died in Parigi on the 27th December 1960
