Jesús Castillo was born in San Juan Ostuncalco on the 9th October 1877, the same year of the composers Aroca y Ortega, Aubert, Beach, Bortkiewicz, Brediceanu, Camussi, Chesnokov, Cools, Cuvillier, Dohnányi, Dunhill, Dupuis, Farwell, Gedike, Hess, Huré, Jelmoli, Krstic, Ladmirault, Marsick, Medins, Mojsisovics(-Mojsvár), Nowowiejski, Radoux-Rogier, Smith, Stojanovic. He died in Quetzaltenango on the 23th April 1946
