Charles Wakefield Cadman, author of instrumental and vocal music, was born in Johnstown on the 24th December 1881, the same year of the composers Alaleona, Barlow, Bartók, Bisquertt, Blumer, Dresda, Eggen, Enescu, Gilse, Kazuro, Le Flem, Napoli, Rogowski, Sandby, Savine, Schneider-Trnavský, Schryock, Valente. He died in Los Angeles on the 30th December 1946
