Jean Binet, who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Ginevra on the 17th October 1893, the same year of the composers Absil, Benjamin, Boulanger, Chlubna, Collins, Griffis, Guarino, Hába, Karastayanov, Langgard, Leça, MacMillan, Masetti, Merikanto, Messner, Mittler, Moore, Negrea, Palau Boix, Pergament, Petit, Pisk, Rein, Rogers, Seymour, Tikotsky. Died in Trélex on the 24th February 1960
