The musician Lorne Betts was born in Winnipeg on the second August 1918, the same year of the composers Bernstein, Dijk, Einem, Harman, Karayev, Potter, Pylkkänen, Ridout, Rochberg, Roosevelt. He died in Hamilton (Ont.) on the 5th August 1985
