The musician Karel (Karl) Bendl, who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Praga on the 16th April 1838, the same year of the composers Benvenuti, Bizet, Bruch, Callaerts, Clay, Fairlamb, Ferreira Veiga, Hill, Kremser, L'Arronge, Lacome, Morales, Schulz-Beuthen. He died in Praga on the 20th September 1897
