The composer Fritz (Friedrich Gustav Otto) Baselt, who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Öls on the 26th May 1863, the same year of the composers Arbós, Bax, Bordes, Brounoff, Campa, Clérice, Coronaro, Corri, Erlanger, Kaun, Lebrun, Leroux, Manrique de Lara (y Berry), Marschalk, Mascagni, Moór, Oosterzee, Parker, Pierné, Samuel-Holeman, Soltys. Died in Frankfurt on the 11th November 1931
