Georges Auric, author of instrumental and vocal music, was born in Lodève on the 15th February 1899, the same year of the composers Angelo, Bárdos, Chávez (y Ramírez), Cortese, Coward, Davidenko, Duke, Gedda, Haas, Korchmaryov, Krása, Lamote de Grignon y Ribas, Manziarly, Müller von Kulm, Poulenc, Rohloff, Tcherepnin. He died in Parigi on the 23th July 1983
