The musician Gioacchino Angelo, author of instrumental and vocal music, was born in Palermo on the 9th August 1899, the same year of the composers Auric, Bárdos, Chávez (y Ramírez), Cortese, Coward, Davidenko, Duke, Gedda, Haas, Korchmaryov, Krása, Lamote de Grignon y Ribas, Manziarly, Müller von Kulm, Poulenc, Rohloff, Tcherepnin. Died in Roma on the 14th October 1971
