The estonian musician and choir conductor Evald Aav was born in Reval on the 7th March 1900, the same year of the composers Antheil, Barraud, Berezowsky, Bernard, Blum, Burkhard, Bush, Copland, Dunayevsky, Ermatinger, Ferroud, Godron, Halffter (Escriche), Haug, Head, Ikonomov, Krenek, Mosolov, Oboussier, Pimsleur, Raymond, Reutter, Salmhofer, Schmidt-Isserstedt, Shekhter, Taktakishvili. He graduated at the Tallinn Conservatory in the composition class of Artur Kapp in 1926. Aav died in Tallinn on the 21 March 1939
