TESTO DEL LIED

"When my Aemelia smiles"
di anonimo

When my Aemelia smiles, she wounds me
With a smooth shaft that I embrace,
When she speaks, yet more confounds me,
Her words do slide with such a grace.
From that soft voice what can defend me?
Such lively sense does from it flow;
All others' wit does now offend me.
Since by kind whispers I know.
