Alexandru Zirra, author of instrumental and vocal music, was born in Roman on the 14th July 1883, the same year of the composers Allen, Bartels, Bastianelli, Bath, Bossi, Casella, Davison, Doelle, Hauer, Hernried, Hrimalý, Infante, Jacobi, Kalomiris, Kartsev, Klenau, Krein, Kunc, Lhotka, Lloyd, Luncani, Lévy, Mandic, Manén, Moonie, Perrachio, Pringsheim, Refice, Samuel, Santoliquido, Toselli. He died in Sibiu on the 23th March 1946
