The composer Otakar Zich was born in Králové Mestec on the 25th March 1879, the same year of the composers Andreae, Berg, Bornschein, Bridge, Canteloube (de Malaret), Corder, Cras, Doire, Donaudy, Gaubert, Gilbert, Granichstaedten, Grovlez, Haas, Hatze, Kalnins, Laccetti, Lyudkevych, Ostrcil, Respighi, Scott, Shaw, Tigranian, Trunk, Uspensky. He died in OubeNizza (Bemesov) on the 9th July 1934
