The musician Spyridon Xyndas (Xinta), author of instrumental and vocal music, was born in Corfu on the 8th June 1812, the same year of the composers Dahmen, Dannström (Johan) Isidor, Grädener, Hebenstreit, Hullah, Jullien, Kazynski, Klitsch, Krug, Peri, Tauwitz, Thalberg. He died in Athinai on the 12nd November 1896
