Renaud de (Alfonse Charles) Vilback, who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Montpellier on the third June 1829, the same year of the composers Acton, Bertini, Braga, Dietrich, Gottschalk, Hartog, Ipavec, Ivry, Karrer, Lazare, Millard, Pinsuti, Roberti, Rogel, Rubinstein, Stiehl, Thomas, Thooft. He died in Parigi on the 19th March 1884
