The musician Sigismond (Fortuné François) Thalberg, author of instrumental and vocal music, was born in Pâquis on the 8th Jenuary 1812, the same year of the composers Dahmen, Dannström (Johan) Isidor, Grädener, Hebenstreit, Hullah, Jullien, Kazynski, Klitsch, Krug, Peri, Tauwitz. He died in Posillipo (Napoli) on the 27th April 1871
