The musician Gustav Strube was born in Ballenstedt on the third March 1867, the same year of the composers Beach, Bedford, Cassadó (Valls), Davis, Donizetti, Giordano, Granados y Campiña, Henriques, Kallenberg, Leva, Maryon(-d'Aulby), Mauke, Navrátil, Naylor, Nodermann, Orchard, Peterson-Berger, Pâque, Rosse, Sapelnikov, Tedeschi, Terrasse. He died in Baltimora on the second February 1953
