Francesco Spetrino, who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Palermo on the second July 1857, the same year of the composers Berté, Bruneau, Chaminade, Dellinger, Dluski, Doppler, Elgar, Kelley, Kerker, Kienzl, Lazzari, Leoncavallo, Muresianu, Pasmore, Planchet, Schoenefeld, Tarditi. Died in Roma on the 27th July 1948
