The composer Alexander (Afanasii) Spendiaryan (Spendiarov) was born in Kakhovka on the first November 1871, the same year of the composers Ambrosio, Arregui Garay, Blech, Borch, Converse, Demény, Jessel, Kaempfert, Lowtzky, Mugellini, Nevin, Paliashvili, Patterson, Pipkov, Reuss, Robles, Shapleigh, Stenhammar, Urbach. He died in Yerevan on the 7th May 1928
