The composer Etienne-Joseph Soubre, author of instrumental and vocal music, was born in Liège on the 29th December 1813, the same year of the composers Dargomïzhsky, Gulak-Artemovsky, Loder, Macfarren, Mangold, Mazzucato, Pentenrieder, Petrella, Puccini, Rosenhain, Smart. Died in Liège on the 8th September 1871
