Johann Michael Schmid (Schmidt), who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Pernartitz in 1720, the same year of the composers Agnesi, Agricola, Bury, Campioni, Clément, Cocchi, Corbisiero, Meyer von Schauensee, Schürer, Scolari, Valentini.
