The composer Louis (Alexander Balthasar) (Ludwig) Schindelmeisser, author of instrumental and vocal music, was born in Königsberg on the 8th December 1811, the same year of the composers Arnold, Becker, Blahetka, Catelani, Godefroid, Hiller, Liszt, Orlowski, Skroup, Speranza, Taubert, Thomas, Truhn. He died in Darmstadt on the 30th March 1864
