The composer Léopold Samuel, author of instrumental and vocal music, was born in Bruxelles on the 5th May 1883, the same year of the composers Allen, Bartels, Bastianelli, Bath, Bossi, Casella, Davison, Doelle, Hauer, Hernried, Hrimalý, Infante, Jacobi, Kalomiris, Kartsev, Klenau, Krein, Kunc, Lhotka, Lloyd, Luncani, Lévy, Mandic, Manén, Moonie, Perrachio, Pringsheim, Refice, Santoliquido, Toselli. Died in Bruxelles on the 10th March 1975
