Willem Pijper was born in Zeist on the 8th September 1894, the same year of the composers Avshalomov, Baranovic, Bennett, Borkovec, Capuana, Dessau, Dragoi, Granados y Campiña, Grosz, Heller, Kanitz, La Violette, Laquai, Lazar, Miyagi, Molina, Polovinkin, Schulhoff, Siohan. He died in Leidschendam on the 18th March 1947
