Joseph Parry was a author of vocal and instrumental music; was born in Merthyr Tydfil on the 21 May 1841, the same year of the composers Andrée, Bachrich, Bevignani, Blaramberg, Bolzoni, Caudella, Chabrier, Dvorák, Famintsïn, Héritte, Kowalski, Lange, Marenco, Mattei, Nessler, Pedrell, Ritter, Tarnowski, Usiglio, Vakhnyanyn. He died in Penarth (Cardiff) on the 17th February 1903
