The musician (Johann) Wilhelm Mangold, who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Darmstadt on the 19th November 1796, the same year of the composers Aubéry du Boulley, Balbi, Berwald, Conti, Hutschenruyter, Loewe, Pacini, Panseron. Died in Darmstadt on the 23th May 1875
