The composer Richard Mandl was born in Prossnitz on the 9th May 1859, the same year of the composers Bemberg, De Koven, Dubois, Enna, Goepfart, Gunsbourg, Harcourt, Herbert, Ilyinsky, Rösel, Schjelderup, Taubmann, Valle-Riestra. He died in Vienna on the first April 1918
