The composer Quinto Maganini, who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Fairfield on the 30th November 1897, the same year of the composers Ascone, Barth, Bentzon, Bravnicar, Cowell, Fernström, Gerster, Golishev, Heward, Kerr, Korngold, Kósa, Lillen, Lorenzo Fernândez, Mignone, Moeschinger, Riisager, Salmon, Sorozabal (Marialcurrena), Stringfield, Sutherland, Tansman. He died in Greenwich (Conn.) on the 10th March 1974
