The composer William Charles Levey, author of instrumental and vocal music, was born in Dublino on the 25th April 1837, the same year of the composers Aceves y Lozano, Chukhadjian, Diaz (de la Peña), Dubois, Ferrari, Gheluwe, Grisart, Guiraud, Holmes, Jensen, Molloy, Sommer, Sonnenfeld. He died in Londra on the 18th August 1894
