Henry (David) Leslie, who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Londra on the 18th June 1822, the same year of the composers Arditi, Barbieri, Clément, Gautier, Gaztambide y Garbayo, Gregoir, Hauser, Hernando y Palomar, Hignard, Litta, Lutz, Massé, Raff, Reinthaler. He died in Llansaintfraid (Oswestry) on the 4th February 1896
