The composer Edmond Laurens, who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Bergerac on the 10th November 1852, the same year of the composers Bayer, Borkowski, Clarus, Corder, Coronaro, Cowen, Gobatti, Grünfeld, Hillemacher, Housely, Huber, Kaan (Kaan-Albest), Marzo, Mascheroni, Mengewein, Neitzel, Oswald, Pugno, Raida, Stanford. Died in Parigi on the 27th November 1925
