The musician Walter Lang, author of instrumental and vocal music, was born in Basel on the 19th August 1896, the same year of the composers Adam (Ádám), Brand, Confalonieri, Gerhard, Hanson, Herrmann, Labroca, Lecuona, Mitropoulos, Rasheed, Rivier, Schröder, Szeligowski, Thomson. Died in Baden (Aargau) on the 17th March 1966
