Gustave Adolph Kerker was a author of vocal and instrumental music; was born in Herford on the 28th February 1857, the same year of the composers Berté, Bruneau, Chaminade, Dellinger, Dluski, Doppler, Elgar, Kelley, Kienzl, Lazzari, Leoncavallo, Muresianu, Pasmore, Planchet, Schoenefeld, Spetrino, Tarditi. He died in New York on the 29th June 1923
