The musician Václav Kálik was born in Opava on the 18th October 1891, the same year of the composers Bliss, Casavola, Dzegelyonok, Gallon, Golovanov, Jacobi, Jirák, Johnson, Kardos, Kasianov, Krejcí, Kunz, Migot, Moreno Torroba, Palma, Pannain, Pinto, Porter, Prokofiev, Raitio, Ravasenga, Spelman, Sternberg. He died in Praga on the 18th November 1951
