Karel Boleslav Jirák, who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Praga on the 28th Jenuary 1891, the same year of the composers Bliss, Casavola, Dzegelyonok, Gallon, Golovanov, Jacobi, Johnson, Kardos, Kasianov, Krejcí, Kunz, Kálik, Migot, Moreno Torroba, Palma, Pannain, Pinto, Porter, Prokofiev, Raitio, Ravasenga, Spelman, Sternberg. He died in Chicago on the 30th Jenuary 1972
