(1880-1948)

The composer Edgar Istel, who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Mainz on the 23th February 1880, the same year of the composers Ascher, Bainton, Barilli, Bleyle, Bloch, Casimiri, Charpentier, Delcroix, Guarnieri, Inghelbrecht, Karel, La Rotella, Luna y Carné, Pahissa, Pizzetti, Pratella, Randegger, Rogatis, Stolz, Szirmai, Uribe Holguín. Died in Miami on the 17th December 1948
