The musician (Thomas) Scott (Jr.) Huston, who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Tacoma on the 10th October 1916, the same year of the composers ApIvor, Babbit, Berlioz, Blomdahl, Bucchi, Cox, Dutilleux, Eder, Ginastera, Griesbach, Herrera de la Fuente, Ishiketa, Jiménez-Mabarak, Johnsen, Juzeliunas, Kelly, Kohs, Nikiprowetzky, Ogura, Paciorkiewicz, Parrott, Peiko, Ratner, Shawwan, Turchi. He died in Cincinnati on the first March 1991
