The composer Ebbe Hamerik (Hammerich), author of instrumental and vocal music, was born in Copenaghen on the 5th September 1898, the same year of the composers Abramsky, Arundell, Bacarisse, Bacon, Cheslock, Claflin, Delannoy, Demuth, Eisler, Gershwin, Harsányi, Hába, James, Knipper, Krohn, Lazarus, Massarani, Mihalovici, Mulder, Plaza-Alfonzo, Rankl, Rubinstein, Ullmann. He died on the 11th August 1951
