The musician Ferdinand Gumbert, who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Berlino on the 22nd April 1818, the same year of the composers Basevi, Bazzini, Bousquet, Briccialdi, Dreyschock, Esser, Godefroid, Gounod, Lacombe, Lavenu, Litolff, Mériel. He died in Berlino on the 6th April 1896
