The musician Karl Götze, who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Weimar in 1836, the same year of the composers Balakiriev, David, Delibes, Farmer, Gomes, Hartmann, Hopkins, Langert, Malling, Mesquita, Pearce. Died in Magdeburg on the 14th Jenuary 1887
