The composer Sabín Vasile Dragoi, who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Seliste on the 18th June 1894, the same year of the composers Avshalomov, Baranovic, Bennett, Borkovec, Capuana, Dessau, Granados y Campiña, Grosz, Heller, Kanitz, La Violette, Laquai, Lazar, Miyagi, Molina, Pijper, Polovinkin, Schulhoff, Siohan. He died in Bucarest on the 31th December 1968
