The composer John David Davis was born in Birmingham on the 22nd October 1867, the same year of the composers Beach, Bedford, Cassadó (Valls), Donizetti, Giordano, Granados y Campiña, Henriques, Kallenberg, Leva, Maryon(-d'Aulby), Mauke, Navrátil, Naylor, Nodermann, Orchard, Peterson-Berger, Pâque, Rosse, Sapelnikov, Strube, Tedeschi, Terrasse. Died in Estoril on the 20th November 1942
