The composer Jean-Baptiste Chrétien (Chrestien), who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Parigi in 1728, the same year of the composers Aspelmayr, Aumann, Bachschmidt, Gaviniès, Guglielmi, Hiller, Insanguine, Oginski, Piccinni, Raupach. He died in Versailles on the first December 1760
