George Frederick Bristow was a author of vocal and instrumental music; was born in Brooklyn on the 19th December 1825, the same year of the composers Doppler, Gabriel, Gollmick, Gutiérrez (y) Espinosa, Hol, Horn, Loder, Lucantoni, Marpurg, Nibelle, Ortega del Villar, Oudrid y Segura, Ouseley, Reissmann, Rongé, Strauss. He died in New York on the 13rd December 1898
