Giovanni Bolzoni, who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Parma on the 15th May 1841, the same year of the composers Andrée, Bachrich, Bevignani, Blaramberg, Caudella, Chabrier, Dvorák, Famintsïn, Héritte, Kowalski, Lange, Marenco, Mattei, Nessler, Parry, Pedrell, Ritter, Tarnowski, Usiglio, Vakhnyanyn. He died in Torino on the 21 February 1919
