The composer Alfredo D' Ambrosio, who wrote music for orchestra, chamber and vocal music, was born in Napoli on the 13rd June 1871, the same year of the composers Arregui Garay, Blech, Borch, Converse, Demény, Jessel, Kaempfert, Lowtzky, Mugellini, Nevin, Paliashvili, Patterson, Pipkov, Reuss, Robles, Shapleigh, Spendiaryan, Stenhammar, Urbach. He died in Nizza on the 29th December 1914
